Employee Drug Screening
The use of illicit drugs is an increasing problem within the work place.
Employers have a right to expect that their prospective employees are alcohol and drug free especially
in safety-critical work areas. Breath Alcohol Testing and urine testing is available on-site, with
additional laboratory confirmatory testing.
We are able to test for a number of illicit substances including cocaine, opiates (including heroin),
benzodiazepines (e.g. Diazepam), amphetamines and cannabis.
Random Drug Testing
Random drug testing is used by many UK employers to deter the use or misuse of drugs and alcohol
by employees in the workplace. There have been numerous case studies to show the effectiveness of
random testing in reducing accidents, ill health, absenteeism, litigation etc, and consequently it is often
considered best practice particularly in safety critical environments. |
