Am I allowed to have a chaperone with me?
We offer this service at our practice for anyone who requests it.
Do I have to take all of my clothes off for a medical? There is a screen for privacy and a dressing gown is provided. A breast examination may be required
if clinically necessary and generally for women over the age of 45.
Do I bring a urine sample with me? No this is done on our premises
I have a phobia when it comes to needles how can you help? The doctor will talk this through with you and we can provide a cream that needs to be put on about
20 mins before blood is taken. This helps to numb the area.
Do I need to fast before a medical? Yes 10 hours before but please remember to drink plenty of water prior to the medical.
Can I pay by Credit Card? We take Credit card, cash or cheque
How do I find you? Please go to our website www.heathrowmedical.com where there is a map and directions on how to find us.
Are you near a train station? We are very close to Terminal 5 which is on the Piccadilly line. From there you can catch the 423 bus
which is one stop into the village of Longford and get off at the bus stop called “The Square”. Cross
over the road and then walk slightly back on yourself and we are on the left in Padbury Oaks. We are
the first building on the right – Weekly House.
How quickly can I get an appointment? We can usually manage to fit you in very quickly
Do you have parking? We have plenty of parking facilities.
